Hi! dear friends! こんにちは!
Here, I'd like to share my playlist that I'm inspired by in the midst of unfinished hope: wintering by Sanna's column.
サンナのコラム、未完の希望の真っ只中で:深まりゆく冬/冬眠 のテキストにインスピレーションを受け、こちらのplaylistを作りましたので、ここで共有致します。
When I tried to translate "wintering" from English to Japanese, that was very hard. I felt that we don't have one word that means "wintering" in Japanese. At that time I realized that the season of winter has a lot of sides and faces.
"wintering" という言葉は、日本語の一言で表せないことに気がつきました。冬という季節は多様な側面を持つ。
If you look up "wintering" in the English to Japanese dictionary, you will find the explanation that is 'passing the winter towards spring' in the noun or 'to spend the time in one place during the winter' in the verb. But after reading her column, I found the winter has been rich and colorful inside harsh.
"wintering"を英日辞書で牽くと名詞で「越冬」、または動詞で「冬を-場所で-過ごす」と訳されています。しかし彼女のコラムを読んで、豊かでカラフルな冬に出会うことができました。
So, I decided to represent "wintering" with two words in Japanese. One of them is "the winter that is getting deeper". The other is "the long sleeping during winter", some kind of animals do so, like bears and squirrels and so on.
彼女のテキストと「越冬」という言葉から私が思い浮かべたのは、寝静まる息遣いと雪の下での活気溢れる活動。そしてカラフルに寒色な冬の森の景色でした。
I'd love to recommend you to read Sanna's column while listening to this playlist, enjoy.
プレイリストと共にサンナのコラムをお楽しみください。
